  • Role Description – Key Responsibilities

    Financial Management & Planning

    • Provide a dashboard to the SMT members highlighting SC costs and ratios thereby advising leadership on productivity metrics and cost inefficiencies
    • Design, Drive and own Financial protocols , Scheme of Delegation , Standard operating Procedures
    • Establish Accounting systems and culture to ensure
      • Timely account reconciliation and data entry
      • Timely Processing of payments
      • Adherence to cost allocation processes and protocols
      • Timely Month End and year end
      • Own the Sun system architecture and administration
    • Compile and communicate  Financial Data (MIS)
      • Design and Monitor the MIS Framework & Calendar for the organization
      • Obtain periodic MIS and other financial reports for all departments  & verify for the same
      • Analyze accounts and hold discussions with top management
    • Grants Management System
      • Drive the design and Administration of the GMS, formulation of SoPs etc
      • Constantly monitor grant budgets, conduct regular audits and conduct financial reporting of the same (including income calling)
    • Drive financial sustainability by reserves creation and rolling out a robust Reserves, Investment & Liquidation Policy

     

    Efficient Financial Risk Management

    • Organization Financial Risk Management
      • To direct and coordinate all finance function activities in the organization ensuring judicious utilization of funds, minimization of financial risk, adherence to budget and cost saving as well as compliance with regulatory norms
      • Efficient Treasury management; take corrective measure as and when required
      • Drive Reserves planning and Cash Flow Management strategy and identify potential risk scenarios on a regular basis 
      • Mitigate risk wherever possible  through insurance instruments such as an enterprise wide risk map
    • Partner Financial Risk Management
      • Development of Partner Financial risk management policy and enabling systems and software. This includes
      • Design and Monitor the Partner Financial Assessment Framework (including contracting)
      • Continuously carry out Partner Financial Assessment and maintain a Risk Categorization framework
      • Constantly carry out Partner Monitoring through standardized tools
      • Design Partner Grading and accreditation process
    • Own and drive systems which enable proper data archiving and retrieval.

     

    Compliance & Audit

    • Develop and execute audit plans in accordance with accepted standards
    • Ensure timely audit completion (statutory & compliance)
    • Income tax compliance and assessments
    • Examine and Maintain instruments such as compliance register
    • Ensure and follow up closure of Audit findings
    • Maintain and track Action Taken Reports
    • Ensure compliance of SC BR on legal matters concerning FCRA and other GoI regulations

    IT

    • Drive the IT strategy for Save depending on the need to the organizational objectives
    • Ensure that the milestones of the IT operational plan is achieved
    • Fulfill the infrastructure needs supporting the organization objectives

     

    Team Building

    • Ensuring that the team capacity is strengthened through requisite frameworks and training to achieve Finance, IT team goals.
    • Create mechanisms for governance in the team
    • Ensure leadership building and training for building capacity within the team.

     

    SMT Responsibilities

    • Continuously review the organizational strategy and direction and ensure updation of policies, procedures and structures align with organization’s goals, requirements & spirit.
    • Strengthen co-ordination and collaboration within and across teams, and to build team spirit and morale
    • Foster an environment of learning, respect and ownership in the organization. Create supporting mechanisms and structures to support it.
    • Ensure team readiness and capability building in Emergency Handling and Coordination
    • 100% adherence to CP policy across the board including board members
