    Role Manager-Tax
    Reporting into AVP – Tax
     
    Key Result Areas
     
    - Assistance in assessments before the Assessing Officer and
    appeals before the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals);
    - Representation in the Income tax department for routine
    matters such as rectifications, appeal effects, refunds,
    responding to various other income notices;
    - Income tax compliances such as advance tax, income tax
    computations/ return filings, tax audit report, monthly tax
    provisioning;
    - Managing GST Compliances;
    - Managing VAT litigation.
    The scope of work will include:
    - Assistance in income tax assessments before the Assessing
    Officer and appeals before the Commissioner of Income Tax
    (Appeals) which will include analysis of data collated, drafting
    of detailed legal and factual submissions, end to end execution
    of submissions, drafting statement of facts and grounds of
    appeal for filing appeal. The candidate should have research
    capabilities and excellent drafting skills;
    - Representation in the income tax office for routine work such
    as rectification, refunds, appeal effects;
    - Various income tax compliances such as advance tax; income
    tax computation/ return filings; tax audit report; monthly
    provisioning. The candidate should be have good knowledge of
    various provisions of the Income Tax Act dealing with
     
    determination of income under PGBP, capital gains, house
    property and income from other sources;
    - Managing GST Compliances;
    - Managing VAT litigation which will involve accompanying the
    consultant for hearings and hence, will involve some travelling.
    The job requires interaction with the tax departments, business,
    finance and accounts and other functions of the company for the
    purpose of data will be required for submissions, and therefore the
    person should have good inter-personal skills.
    Having GST knowledge/ certification and involvement in the GST
    implementation in the existing company will be an advantage.
     
    Qualification
     
    Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of post-qualification
    experience in managing direct and indirect tax related matters.
    GST related knowledge/ certification will be an advantage.
     
    No of years of Industry
    experience
     
    2-3 years of post-qualification experience in managing direct and
    indirect tax related matters:
     For clients in any of the Big 4s OR;
     For a NBFC/ bank/ large Indian corporate house. Experience
    only in international tax will not be suitable for this role
