           Role Description for: Assistant Manager – Finance and Accounts

     

     
    I. Purpose of the role:

     

    To support in processing and accounting of invoices, capital and operational expenditures and incomes and fund processing for NSE (and group companies) in adherence to statutory and accounting norms and internal timelines in an accurate manner.

    Invoice and funds processing

    • Receive and process invoices and check for compliance requirements i.e. green note and approval notes attachments.
    • Track surplus funds and ensure investments through treasury on a daily basis to ensure proper utilisation of the said surplus.
    • Processing fees of Application, admission and Authorised Persons Collection / accounting and confirmation
    • Raise invoices on monthly basis for Transaction charges and monitor accounts receivable including coordinating monthly payout recovery.
    • Track and process payments for connectivity charges.
    • Coordinate and administer the sharing of funds between NSE group companies.
    • Adherence and compliance with internal SLAs

    2.

    Membership accounts

    • Process fees for members once confirmed before activation.
    • Coordinate with membership department for regular payments and deposits, refunds etc.
    • Process refund of membership deposits on surrender of membership
    • Membership Deposits collection / accounting, confirmation and reconciliation
    • Handling members (existing and new) queries
    • TDS accounting
    • CTT (collection and payment to govt.)
    • SEBI related compliance : SEBI turnover charges (collection and payment to SEBI / Compilation of various data related to members in the commodity segment)
    • Monthly MIS & MDR

    3.

    Accounts Payable

    • Process & Manage payments towards operating and administration expenses.
    • Coordinate with branches for requirements of funds etc.
    • Prepare Daily Financial Position
    • Report & Co-Ordinate funds management with Treasury Department
    • Monitor & Co-ordinate with Banks for the daily banking transactions
    • Prepare Bank reconciliations for all banks

     

    Note:    Additional responsibilities may be added from time to time depending on organisational requirements.
