    Position Summary:

     

    Shared Services Head will be responsible to:

     

    • Ensure best practice across the transactional finance stream of the business,
    • Planning and delivery of an excellent centralized transactional service to the business
    • Help drive shared service strategy and performance,
    • Lead and develop a SSC finance team identifying opportunities for improvement in systems and process to drive customer satisfaction.

     

    To succeed in the role one must be a qualified accountant, having a proven track record of managing delivery within a Shared Service financial environment

     

    Job Responsibilities:

    Key Responsibilities Include:

     

    • Lead team to understand, improve and document Functional, and local business processes to be more aligned to a centralized Shared Services Operations

    • Continuous improvement of systems to support the process of centralized operations and subsequent process optimization efforts

    • Work with and/or direct IT team members to develop solutions and ensure systems meet the needs of the SSC organization in terms of functionality and quality

    • Collaborate with the business Stakeholders to identify and prioritize the delivery of SSC Processes and help in optimizing existing capabilities

    • Gather requirements and instruct/develop systems designs resulting in the delivery of new systems (people/process/technology) capabilities for the SSC Processes

    • Ensure business users are adequately trained and educated in the change of business processes implemented to centralize the Transactional services

     

    • Develop and maintain working knowledge of Shared Services industry trends and business best practices

     

    • Review of SSC Master Project Plan to identify gaps and failure modes and Get Project Team on-board all on project objective, scope of work and key milestones.

     

    • Meeting and Communicating with Key Stake Holders to provide periodic updates

     

    • Provide regular direction and supervision to the team to organize and track the Phase deliverables without any potential delays as per the Project Plan

     

    • Prepare the SSC budget, Track Accruals and consistently adherence to the SSC budgeted plan

     

    • Prepare Transition Governance Rigor & Toll Gate Review Mechanism, Review risk and mitigation plan, present same to Country SSC Steering Committee

     

    • Review Standard Operating Procedures and ensure sign off on the documentation and Finalize list of in-scope SLA & KPI for SSC

     

    • Review Daily metric performance of SSC Processes, Understand pain points of key stakeholders and resolve issues and escalations

     

    • Review performance of SSC team , provide feedback to team members as required

     

    Basic Educational Qualifications:

     

    Essential:

     

    • MBA/ CA  with robust appreciation/knowledge of information technology preferred

     

     

    Desired/ Preferable:

     

    • Six Sigma, Lean , Project Management and Process Improvement certifications
    • Manufacturing/Industry specific experience including process owner responsibilities for policy and procedures and internal SOX controls over financial reporting in a finance shared services environment
    • Knowledge of SAP is must
